Central Indiana Chapter Meeting - April 2022

Tuesday, April 19, 2022 -
12:00pm to 1:00pm

Topic: How can we make Agile work in the real world of software development?

Topic Summary
In a traditional Waterfall software development methodology, you constrain requirements and float time and cost. In contrast, an Agile philosophy constrains time and cost and floats requirements.
However, in the real world of software development all three are often constrained as clients want to know: what is going to be built, how long it will take, and what it will cost, before work begins!
How can your organization reap the benefits of an Agile methodology in this situation?
I will present a way to start in a Waterfall methodology and successfully move to Agile, which allows for the benefits of an Agile philosophy while giving clients the information they need before work begins.  This approach hinges on the work of Business Analysts and the relationships we build with our stakeholders.
