The Central Indiana IIBA chapter took a deep-dive into the BA Agile Mindset in September and identified some of the challenges in adopting the principle “Thinking As a Customer.”  In an effort to help bridge that gap, we welcome you to join us in October when Shirley J. Sartin, CBAP®, presents “Understanding Your Customer’s Needs.” Ms. Sartin will be using agile techniques that will help you identify and transition business drivers and pain points into the highest level of requirements; quantify business benefits; and document success criteria and business risks.  Techniques that have been successfully used as a pre-cursor for many projects in government and commercial industries for scope definition and level of effort planning.     
 
Ms. Sartin has career experience in Information Systems (IS)/Information Technology IIT) which have encompassed roles in requirements architect, management, supervision, team lead, project management, systems analysis, business analysis, product owner, programming analysis, systems administration, operations administration, technical training and university educator.  Her industry experience includes government, cable and telecommunications, maritime, health, finance, insurance and legal.  She understands the importance of an organization identifying what it is that they need and why they need it without focusing on a technical solution and instead maintaining a focus on empathizing, appreciating and championing the needs of the customer.
