Barry Brookins, Director of Data Science for McLeod Software joined McLeod Software in 2013, providing leadership in guiding applications of the company’s Data Science Initiatives. Barry has a deep understanding of the transportation industry gained from his previous roles with Con-Way, WTI Transportation, and Southeast Logistics, including CSR, Fleet Manager, Director of Recruiting, Corporate Coach, and VP of Operations. McLeod is the proprietor of a transportation management software which supports hundreds of trucking companies across the United States and a couple in Canada. The software helps companies locate freight, manage assets (trailers, trucks, drivers), dispatch loads, and provide customer status while the freight is moving. During this time especially, but all the time, truck drivers and these trucking companies are essential to our way of life. The management of their data is key to helping them keep assets in the right places to pick up and deliver freight efficiently.
